Taunton Prep U12A - 10

Kings Hall U12A – 5

Taunton entertained Kings Hall in a triangular on Saturday 15th September. In what was a close game Taunton attacked well for the first half and were on top throughout, a good try from Jack giving Taunton the lead. A lapse in concentration after a turnover in the Kings 22’ allowed their quickest player the chance to pick up from the ruck and go blind and gallop the length of the pitch for an easy try.

At half-time Taunton regrouped, emphasis on spreading out in defence and covering the width of the pitch. The line-speed was still missing but thankfully Will Harvey caught the ball and outpaced the Kings defence to score in the corner for the winning try.

A solid performance, again line-speed needs to be worked on and defensive organisation can be improved to ensure it is harder for teams to score against us. With ball in hand we need to straighten more rather than drifting and making the defenders jobs easier.
